Awareness is the beginning a fight against such a disease. I have a a very close friend who has been diagnosed with PCa, and fortunately has gone through a successful surgical procedure. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for couples like Rommie and Laurie Overton to go through this. I wish them and anyone else affected by this disease all the best of luck. It is amazing to see how the music industry is getting involved, helping with the awareness in support of those affected and participating in fundraising events to help develop a cure.

Wow, a strong argument but I don’t think this author has put in the effort to learn how to read music. Writing and reading music a method of communication for musicians. It is also a method of organizing notation in a visual manner. I believe in developing our ear as well but the two elements combined, reading music and ear training, are essential to understand and to play music well.

Convincing article. However, it is a fact that should more song writers learn theory, the music we hear every day would be different. We are in an era where a personal image or even behavior is recognized above the quality of a formal composition. Every genre has its own appeal in one form or another and has varied representations for each individual. I would hope that any generation can recognize music written with considerable knowledge, consisting of so many theoretical elements and which generally requires a great level of talent to perform.
